115: Agenda from July Eighteenth

So the Agenda trade-show for the east coast took place in New York City. It was held at the same time as Capsule next door to it in the Chelsea Art Center on the west side of Manhat tan. Many brands were in attendance that I were a fan of. Standouts from my perspective were Herschel Supply Company and Publish.

After attending both west and east coasts versions of this travelling show, I preferred the west coast edition. The east coast edition felt lacking in the loosely used word 'scale' or 'friendly' sense of description. I did like how the place was separated using different floors for different organizations or maybe exposure. My description of the show was that it seemed everyone was there heavy on the business perspectives it seemed.

I was there as a guest of a friend who was supervising one of the booths. I met good people such as @agendachristine, @rymanator, @nelsonbrittney, @agendatrad and some others escaping my mind right now.

After the first day, Dave Ortiz, formerly of DQM, had a reception for one of his current lines being carried in his new shop, "Dave's Wear House", NVRBRKN, which is a sub-label of DC. The line has potential for good growth, I dig it. There is some videos of that after the Agenda video.

Shout outs to Red Bull, Heineken, Ace Hotel and all the other sponsors.

June Twenty. BIG Sean had a meeting at the Adidas Originals store in Soho. Mad squads of kids and adults waited to meet him. The crowds that were not in line and present line company all mobbed the Escalade that escorted Sean in. I was near the door, but eventually peeled away by the police once they stepped in to control the masses.

June Twenty First at Irving Plaza was the BIG Sean Finaly Famous release concert. Sean brought multiple guests and looked lively as well. His performance along with lyricism has come a long way than when he first began with G.O.O.D. Music. He brought out Pusha T, Kanye, and Tone.

August 18: Ace Hotel participated in a the first Annual Umbro Foosball tournament in Berry Park in Brooklyn. Ace Hotel got third I believe (we lost in the semifinals and there was no third place match, but Ace would have won that). This is a photo of the post interview with the host. Russell, Graham, Jo-Yie, and Ashton. Free beer, fish with chips, and good times all around happened this day. It was on August eighteenth.

August 24: House Of Vans hosted a concert on August twenty fourth. I arrived a little late and the warehouse in Greenpoint was at capacity. The majority of the crowd was caucasian hardcore it seems. This is my first 'hardcore' show and was surprising. These kids went in, raging. The two bands that I saw were "Touche Amore" and "Converge". See pictures and video below in chronological order.

August 25: I went the morning of the Supreme release on August twenty fifth. I got there around seven in the morning. There were people that camped overnight. It rained heavily throughout the morning starting about at eleven or so. It was the starting rain of Hurricane Irene. They ran out of the Real Tree Camo camp cap instantly. They ran out of the Biggie tees as well, but re-stocked shortly ahead of me. I copped the black tee, the navy paisley long-sleeve, and the red waxed cotton camp cap. I bought more than I expected and did not get some of the things I wanted.

August 27: So Hurricane Irene came and shut down the Metro Transit Association subway and bus and all public transportation options, going as far as forcing people to evacuate due to possible flooding from flash waves. I ended up sleeping at the hotel for the weekend courtesy of work and assisting guests that got stuck since the airport traffic had been suspended. This is the room. I had to share it with Lucas, who is in the next photo and Wings+Horns Bathrobe exclusive to the Ace Hotel.

August 31: To cap the summer off, Modelo x LTDmag x Hotel Rivington threw a party with friends and people. Modelo flowed for drinks along with other substances and food. Thank you for the amazing skyline photo opportunities. I was so twisted after this event that it took me a good hour to get home after and eating a "Mikey's Burger" which included corned beef hash, grilled onions, dressing, and patty. This is visible below.

106: Fool's Gold Presents Day Off: A Labor Day Music Extravanganza BBQ

I got here about four in the afternoon. The place was at capacity. The line in this photo below started a riot after one of the security guards brought in six people ahead of the people waiting for hours. The lines and chaos was for a few hours. I ended up getting in eventually around five thirty. I get in in-time to see A-Trak spin, Danny Brown, Juicy J, ASAP Rocky, and Neako perform.

I get on the stage for some of the photos and videos and shit. Do not ask how I ended up there, it ended up being sweaty and hot and a good time all together. Well done Fool's Gold. See you again next year.

Today Supreme New York dropped the preview and lookbook. This is much better than the Spring and Summer collection. Pricier albeit and more hyped, but that is where the 'fun' comes. I picked out what I like. These interest me, whether for personal or capitalistic reasons.

104: May Twenty First, My Birthday

So the twenty first was my birthday. I was in New York. I went out to some festival with Krystal and Jerry I think. We went to some parade and festival in Tompkin's Square Park and smoked some blunts here and there. This was two months ago, so I do not remember the day the greatest except by what story the photo tells.

We went to Jerry's to get him in the after noon time. Jim Joe tagged up his rooftop and block.

The park was crazy. Check out the mad creeper in aviator shades. The impromptu band below started jamming after the music was shut down by the police (FUCK THE POLICE).

They have a cement table tennis with fencing net in the park. Fuck yeah.

We walked to Dumpling Man and copped some soup dumplings also known as surprise dumplings. After a bite into them, there is a broth that is inside. That is ginger slivers on top.

After the dumplings, we continued back to the roof.

After the roof began a trip to Ty's. There were chicken wings and friends and video games. The day capped off well.

May seventeenth, I was invited to the Sneakerpedia launch release put on by Footlocker I believe via my roomate by way of another friend. There was open Bacardi I believe. Bun B performed on the small stage, with PHLI Jeff, Greg Street, Mayor, Statik Selektah, and various other personalities, including Jeff Carvalho who I ran into. Greg Street was rocking these Wu-Tang Dunks and Bun B rocked his Space Jam Air Force One Bespokes.

May nineteenth, I was shitting around the city on my bike.

This is on Fifth street and Bedford Avenue. I think that is an Invader piece up there in the corner. SelfEdge New York just recently got a bench with their name burned in the corner. Thomas's cigarettes and coffee on there, without of coaster. Andrew might get upset.

The soccer game at Sarah Roosevelt field I believe. This rickshaw is balling with lights and subwoofers under the seat.

Of course, here is my first time in Times Square. I liked/hated it. Tourists suck. Dumb tourists especially.

May twentieth, I saw some interesting sites like this Nike "Earned, Not Given" billboard on Wooster and Houston, and the death el camino.

103: Diesel JOGG Pants Release Party

Diesel decided to take elements from jeans and mix them with the comfort of sweatpants resulting in the JOGG pants. Elements such as the stretchiness and drawstrings and lounge ability were woven with denim. The result is a refreshing and unique 'jeans', but pricey (based on my salary and pricepoint, $200-$300). The event had drinks catered by Ty Ku Liquer and music by Allen Stone. They had a men's cut and washes along with women's versions and a JOGG jacket. See photos below.

102: Alife & Fools Gold Music Presents: A$AP Rocky and Danny Brown

I get buzz of this the night before. I hear the two and was like "Yup, I need in". I get up at five in the morning, head to work at seven, get off at three and haul ass to Alife, after a detour at the Watch The Throne pop-up shop, which was a disappointment. The Maybach in real life was FUCKED UP! I meet up with Brook and get introduced to most of the Alife familia. Joe! I hope you having a good time out of the country wherever you at. Tees get produced. Modelo, Red Bull, Mozzarepas, females, some dudes, smoke, whiskey, music to make you move, and perfect weather was out to showcase the talent. I got pictures and videos of Rocky, but not of Danny Brown:( as I got pushed to the back of the crowd. Danny Brown was not what I expected, a lyrical demon. Rocky is as live and tight knit as his videos portray with the entourage. The mic going in and out as noted by Miss Info on her blog was the only hitch to an otherwise well produced show. 101: This Los Angeles Presents: These Friends At Ace Hotel

You know where I work? I work here, at the Ace Hotel New York. There was an exhibit opening, with the works of beer and various other personalities, who I do not give a fuck about sometimes. I took pictures after most people left. I was distracted with other things. Here are some selected shots.

I got off work at eight thirty and haul ass on my bike there. Anna met me there from here train and we got there to catch the end of the Swizz show but caught LMFAO. They throw down and party hard. Champagne and Beer Sprays, Ciroc and Red Bull bong pulls, Ciroc spout pouring into the front row audience, blow-up zebra dolls, multiple multiple constant costume changes with props and dance routine. These guys and their crew worked hard for where they are at. I got some pasta and munchies food from the V.I.P. lounge after the show. Some white girl knocked my cup of Ciroc over when I put in down in front of me to just adjust shit in my backpack. I had a gut feeling that it might happen as soon as I put it down. 96: Alexander McQueen's Savage Beauty August Seventh

The day began with me at work up at five in the morning. I worked from seven to three thirty. Today was the last day for the McQueen exhibit, with the Metropolitan extending hours later until midnight. I get to the met and wait in line outside before realizing that if I buy a ticket online I can cut the outside line. The Metropolitan fee is 'free', but paying the online price of twenty five dollars and a dollar service fee was worth my time to cut inside. It was very humid outside. The wait inside was about three hours as well. Inside I took iPhone photos and took my time viewing the collection of pieces resulting in an hour viewing about. The place was dimly lit in some sections. My friend @angelcyang was in town and saw the exhibit before me. She waited a total of about five hours in line. She ended up buying the catalog book and got it signed by Anna Wintour as well.

The entrance below the sign began with these two. Both are from the season titled 'Voss' of spring/summer in 2001. The first one is made from red and black ostrich feathers with glass medical slides painted red. The second is from razor-clams stripped and varnished.

This dress was probably one of my two favorite from the whole thing. This picture is okay, but the link here is a better image of it or here in slide #28 and #29

The next one is from this here. This one is suppose to be blown with wind so it flows. The second is a corset from Dante.

This one just looked cool as was all lacy and shit.

This was five pieces from his last collection before suicide I believe. The first is here, second here, third here, fourth here, and the fifth here. These were all too fucking amazing in real life, especially two and four, along with the fifth. The two and four were amazing with the print and detailing with barely any visible seams or stitching. The amount of handcraft in it, I could see why he offed with himself before finishing.

The left one is too swag. The top is leather with a lace skirt and prosthetic carved wooden legs. Yeah the model for this was an amputee. See the reference here. The next one had balsa wood wings, here.

These were some awesomfuckingshoes. The very right one had outlines of the toe.

The left one is from fall/winter nineteen ninety eight collection while the second one is Joan theme armor.

I think this is from the same one as above left collection. These are beads made someway.

The left here is hand draped glass with etching corset and headpiece along with a lace face-piece on the right.

The shoes are what Lady Gaga has worn I believe and the right is the Spine corset as seen here.

The left are oriental influenced heels along with a skeletal peacock crown on the right.

I wanted to get better photos of these, "The Girl Who Lived In The Tree", but the security guard was at the end of one and I could not get better angles. This last sector of the exhibit was called "Romantic Naturalism". I tried taking a full shot out of view of the guards. This is what I was aiming at, here. There were seven models, but I was able to capture only the middle five. The first is here(slide 27), and the third here. I was unable to find where the others are but they are pretty fucking detailed in life. The various 'heels' were the highlight if this section

Afterwards, I had pizza with Angel after a bit of wandering at "Waldy's Pizza", a must stop for many people. It hits the spot real well after being hungry.

Exhibits like this are why I love New York City. If I lived back in Minneapolis, I would not be able to experience things like this.

Show at nine or so at night start. I get there about six thirty. I get a side stage left post. I drink a Blast by Colt45 drink. It was only two dollars, but tasted bad. It gave me a headache afterwards. The booze came in a container like a Coca-Cola bottle fuity flavoring.

I worked from ten in the morning until six thirty. Times were slow at work. Work became a bummer once I found out I would not be getting holiday pay also known as time and a half or overtime pay rate for the hours worked. The reason for this is because I am on probationary period and not under the Union yet. FUCK. I got off work and took a nap slightly before heading to Pier 84. I end up at forty fourth and eleventh but that entrance is full and then move south in streets. I end up getting in and a spot at about forty second and eleven point five, because I did not make it to the twelfth avenue. The fireworks were okay with my view. It would have been more amazing being able to see the full two miles that they were shooting along. Oh well, I have next year to plan to get a better view. Here are some still shots that reasonably came out well.

This is part two of the night, with the performance set by rapper Sims.. He performed mostly party high-tempo songs, rapping himself into his own category, with his own signature 'jig/dance'. This man could control and manage the crowd very well along with assistance from fellow Doomtree members Mike Mictlan and P.O.S. The future will be bright for this kid as he progresses and evolves over time. See videos and accompanying pictures below.

I do not know any of the songs, so forgive the titles of the videos.

So my friend had an extra ticket to Astronautilus with Sims and Mally opening show at the Triple Rock March twenty fifth. I got picked up shortly after work and we jetted to the place. It ends up being sold out, ahd her friend did not submit the guest list properly or something so she ended up having to 'buy' a ticket at the door. It was a pretty dope show. I did not know what to expect from Astronautilus. I missed MaLLY's performance. Astro was dope. I recognized Nobs on the tables to the left from Brook also known as Koor. I was not sure if it was him until Astro actually introduced everyone in the band. The best way to describe it was southern backwoods rap? Check the videos and pictures below before your Attention Deficit Disorder kicks in like mine. The interesting part of hte night was the seven or so random freestyle on topics by the audience. Part two coming next is Sims.
